New mixed-use space where business can thrive means more opportunities in the local area. And, from construction to ongoing operation, we’ll create more jobs throughout the local supply chain too. 

Those studying in the area will also enjoy more opportunities to learn from – and collaborate with – new businesses based in our developments. And across our workplaces, we’ll protect spaces for startups and small businesses to foster and create a true entrepreneurial ecosystem.  

Seamless journeys and space to roam

Alongside new buildings, public spaces, and retail options, we’ll enhance local infrastructure with improved pedestrian routes, pedestrianised thoroughfares, and accessible public spaces. We’ve also designed our developments to support active travel – which means we’ve built in ample ground-level cycle spaces and integrated existing cycle routes, such as the Chisholm Trail.

An investment for all

Railpen has been active in Cambridge for years, but our latest developments mark a new era of substantial investment in the area and its community. This means that what we deliver will stretch far beyond the thresholds of our buildings. We’ll bring new curated green space to the area, social spaces, leisure and dining options, and vital facilities like a brand new children’s créche. We’ve taken on board what the community has asked for and built this into our plans for the future.

Beyond our own front door

As well as creating great places and spaces, we want to deliver tangible social impact in Cambridge. That means delivering thousands of volunteering hours each year to local causes, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations. We’ll also support and protect jobs for underserved communities to create better outcomes for local people and places.
